Qué
“Qué” asks what action the other person is doing in “¿Qué estás haciendo?”. It is used at the beginning of this question to ask for information about the current action.
estás
“Estás” means “you are” in “¿Qué estás haciendo?”. It is the form of estar used with tú here, and it appears before haciendo to ask about an action happening now.
haciendo
