도움이 means help as the thing that is needed in 도움이 좀 필요해요. The 이 in 도움이 marks 도움 as the subject of 필요해요. A reusable pattern is [thing]이 필요해요, meaning that something is needed.
좀
좀 means some or a little in 도움이 좀 필요해요 and 물이 좀 필요해요. It comes before 필요해요 to describe the amount of help or water that is needed. You can use it in a pattern such as [thing]이 좀 필요해요 when a small or unspecified amount is needed.
